Starcraft 2 just felt like Starcraft with absolutely nothing new. I genuinely enjoyed ME2 but didn’t like ME3. Dungeon Siege 3 definitely fits the bill, as mentioned, Civ 5′s initial release, TA:Kingdoms, too.

I played the D3 beta and was so underwhelmed that I didn’t pick it up.

Other ones for me were: Mass Effect 2, Gears of War 2, Starcraft 2, Hyper Street Fighter 2 and all the Street Fighters that came after it.
