Wedding anniversaries are not usually a big deal around our house. Fancy dinner tends to be the height of our extravagance. But this anniversary marks ten years, which seemed like it was worth celebrating in style, geek style of course.
Like most couples we decided on a weekend get away at a fancy hotel. Unlike most couples, the hotel we picked was located near a Fry’s were we spent one of our weekend days shopping for a new computer, computer parts to be exact. Building of said computer commenced once we returned home.

New computer – his anniversary gift; him not complaining about his crappy computer anymore – my anniversary gift. Well that and the fancy hotel. Reveling in the luxury was definitely a highlight of the weekend, between room service, the enormous bed, and the pool sized tub, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I must have taken five baths over the course of the weekend. It was clearly impossible for me to resist the gigantic bathtub.
It was really the most perfect weekend we could have planned for ourselves – relaxing and fun, plus a new computer, which is pretty awesome. I’m a little jealous now.

Yay! Sounds like a great anniversary trip. My hubby and I have gone to Japantown twice for our anniversary, spend the day shopping Jtown and eatting at Kappa :D We get the Japanese Traditional Suite so he can sleep on futons on a tatami mat :D
