Kickstarter bears fruit!

My very first kickstarter reward arrived not long ago. Zombicide, the boardgame, with extra figures and more zombies. I did order a few more female playable characters, but have been told those aren’t going to be available until next year, which is in fact the original ship date. Yup, the awesome folks over at Guillotine Games sent out the base sets early. Super awesome.

Above is the box and the bonus Zombies and figures that were sent to me as part of the Abomination Kickstarter pack. Though I’m not keeping the plastic zombie trays (it doesn’t all fit into the box), they are very classy traveling arrangements for the delicate zombie mini figurines.

Since we received the entire base game, we were able to try the game out in all its cooperative zombie smashing glory. There were three of us on the human side, which meant we each controlled two human character. I of course picked the two ladies, which both turned out to be quite good.

Wanda, the rollerskating waitress ended up winning us the game. Her double move capability made her the obvious choice for the final dash to the exit, as only one character had to reach the end for us to win.

Though I have only really played it once, it was incredibly fun and I look forward to many more Zombie mashing nights with possible expansions in our future. =)

I can imagine in your household you’re gonna need extra females.

That reminds me, I need to follow you on kickstarter.

I do like having lots of awesome ladies to choose from. =)

Hmm. I haven’t backed much on Kickstarter of late. Ran through my kickstarter allowance really REALLY fast. ~sigh~

Alyson and I are just starting to get into it. We’re at the point where she points RPG related kickstarters out to me. I got into the 13th age one because she kept pushing how cool the die was.
