Its been a bit busy around here, with friends and family vising, various birthdays, and hours and hours of StarCraft 2.
So I thought I would share some hilarious girls getting revenge.
I’m sure you have all already seen these fabulous gags, but my only other idea was to post a replay of one of my SC2 vs matches, which would have made you all laugh just as much, at my expense. =P
I hope you like these little tidbits. And just maybe you will know why I never ever ever ever get on Xbox chat, ever!
I just recently discovered the Cake Wrecks site and its been making me giggle ever since. I know I’m a bit slow considering the site has archives back three years and has been featured on dozens of other websites. But even this delayed its well worth sharing. =D
But its even better, because the author of Cake Wrecks started another site called EPBOT.com. A fun geek (crafty) girl blog. At first I was skeptical (always am of crafty sites!), but just the other day she posted probably about the most awesome tee shirt of all time. If there was any doubt left about the site being worthy, linking this shirt instantly trampled it all to bits.
Best shirt EVAR! Only failing, no woman’s sizes!! Seriously, that was one of my favorite childhood movies of ALL time, and they cant make at least a girl shirt. Booo! /sigh
So I installed a new Plugin called, Broken Link Checker. I figured it would be a good idea, for surely none of my links were broken anyway, and it can’t hurt to check, right?
Since I have installed it, I have spent more time fixing broken links then I have playing video games. Go Figure.
It would of course be fabulous if the plugin was perfect, but its not. Any sort of connection interference and it will flag perfectly good links as broken, which means I have to monitor it very closely. At this rate I might just turn it off.
So if you see a link that is crossed out, it is my handy dandy link checker at work. Is the link broken? Who knows, but clearly I haven’t gotten around to fixing it.
Its that time again where I marvel at the fact that I somehow managed to read all the books from the previous month and stare at the huge stack of books for the next month and wonder how in the hell I’m going to miss enough sleep to read them all. ~breath~
Onward! This month’s challenge has to do with book covers.
Read 3 books whose that has a single male on the cover.
Read 3 books whose that has a single female on the cover.
Read 2 books whose cover feature a couple.
Read 2 books where there is no person or human image at all.
Nostalgia is back in style and the huge success of the newest Super Mario Bros game on the Wii is a true testament to the trend. With over ten million copies sold its clear that plenty of gamers are not only pining for the less graphic intensive games of their childhood, but also appreciate excellent game play.
As a long time Mario fan I truly felt that the soul of the Super Mario games was lost once they switched to 3D. But they are finally back, in original 2D with one of their best titles since Super Mario World.
After having finished all the holiday event Achievements with my hunter I swore never to do them again. But the super fast flying mount reward is just so incredibly spectacular that I had get one for my warlock. (I should just ban the word ‘never’ from my vocabulary!)
Which of course means suffering through all the holiday achievements. Thankfully the current one, Noble Garden, is not so bad. It took me only one evening of play. Plus I got to run around as a bunny for most of the evening. Whatever changes they made to this event (I know lots of the holiday achievements got an overhaul at one point or another) worked wonders, because I didn’t finish it seething with anger. Nice change of pace. =)
WonderCon was indeed this past weekend, an event that completely snuck up on me. Then again I’m terrible at planning for these things, which is probably one of the reasons I have been unable to make it to ComicCon the past few years. (If you don’t get a hotel room within the first hour that the phone lines open up, you are so out of luck!)
Thankfully WonderCon (the con of wonders and delights) is hosted near enough to home that a simple reminder from my husband the week before the event is plenty of notice to assure my attendance.
Just one of the many reasons that I love WonderCon. =)
Somehow I totally missed April Fools this year. Granted its not really a holiday (sort of like Pie Day) but its all in good fun. And fun is after all fun, right? (^_^)
Turns out that I hadn’t really missed all that much. Then again I’m a day late so maybe I missed all the fabulous ones.
Anyway, here are the ones that I think are definitely worth sharing:
This is something that has been circulating in some of the WoW Blogs I read occasionally. Even though I don’t consider this a World of Warcraft Blog (though it could easily become one!) I thought it might be a good way to pay my respects to WoW.
And respect it deserves. World of Warcraft: The Lich King expansion has probably been my favorite game of the year (2009). I know, it was actually released in 2008, but I played so much of the game this year, I think it fully qualifies. =)
I’m pretty sure that I played WoW more this year then I slept. And so I award WoW the “Better than Sleep” award. =)
