The new Mortal Kombat Web Series is already on episode 3!!
So worth watching. Production value is incredible, the way they bring Mortal Kombat into the present day is incredible, plot actually makes sense as do character motivations. All in all, as a Mortal Kombat fan, this is a rare treat!!
My 2010 Fantasy Football season officially came to a close today, as my team was beaten in the first round of the playoffs. Although 116 to 65 looks more like half my team didn’t even bother to show up.
Overall it’s been a terrible football season for my team. We barely made it into the play offs at all.
Ah well, we will learn from our losses and come back next year a stronger, more able, and focused team. GO TEAM! That is if I get a good draft. If I get another crappy draft (like this year!) I’m blaming the Quarterback, or the defense.
It’s never the team owners fault. Never ever ever.
December 10th is ‘Support Girl Geeks Everywhere By Wearing Star Wars Gear’ day.
All came about from a blog post about a little adopted girl who got teased for liking Star Wars. The whole thing has the interwebs of geeks up in arms! Which has resulted in the facebook event of the month!!

Starcraft 2 must have been an incredible struggle to make. Not that I can fault Blizzard, because, lets face it, creating a sequel to Starcraft – one of the largest and most popular PC games to date, the game that single handedly saved South Korea (okay I made that one up, but it is a national pastime there) – must have been an incredibly difficult challenge.
How to give all the Starcraft fans a game they could recognize and yet still create something new?! Choices had to be made and clearly it was not easy, because it took them over ten years.
Despite everything, the game was finally released and it has been an unmitigated success. Proof: The Starcraft 2 Plane! (Okay it’s a cross promotion with Korean Air, but still how awesome do you have to be to get to advertise on a plan?!)
I might think of Facebook as a rather pointless time sink, but it does have some great features, like finding age old friends and keeping track of said friends. But what I enjoy the most is all the random stuff people share. Its a little window into strange and new webstuffs. =)
Sometimes its stuff that’s totally worth sharing.

I completely forgot to mention that its Fantasy Football time again! Actually its almost halfway done. My not posting might have a bit to do with my incredibly bad record this year. My team is currently 2-6. Thats right, two wins and six losses and it doesn’t look to be getting better.
Fantasy Football has just not been going my way this year, though I guess since I won last year, its karma. =)
I would post my roster, but its been in so much flux (due to injuries and suckyness and byes) that I haven’t had the same team for more than two weeks in a row. Oh well.
I make it almost impossible for people to post comments! (Maybe its some deep secret need to discourage people from commenting, since having no feedback means less criticism. Plus an affirmation that no one really reads this blog anyway. I have low blog-esteem. ) =P
Each comment must jump through various hoops before it is allowed the privilege of appearing for everyone to see. But most importantly I have final approval over all. Muahahah!
Which means I get to read all the spam comments so everyone else doesn’t have to. What boggles me is that they (the spammers) somehow manage to jump through all those hoops. And its not always the same source. I’ve got spam variety – on my dinky little geek site, I have spam variety.
I would plead for mercy, but I doubt it would register with the spammers. What we need is a national (Webinal?) “do not comment” list, you know like the “do not call” list.

One of my goals for our move was to sift through all of our stuff, pair down or consolodate what we had. A huge part was sorting through all of our various games, a much needed process.
It turns out that our long standing addiction to MMOGs has resulted in a stack of game CDs to rival the Eiffel Tower. Okay, I exaggerate a bit, but it was quite shocking to find so many completely useless CDs. (EverQuest had by far the most!)
Just throwing them away seems extremely wasteful, but what does one do with these old CDs???
