World of Warcraft Raiding 101 (or how to become hardcore!) Part 5
Final thoughts
Here we are, at the end of this (much larger then I expected) endeavor. I hope that it has conveyed enough information to help ease the transition into raiding (at least a little bit!)
That’s really what the intention was, to give someone a jumping off point or a gentle push in the right direction. Hence I have kept the information relatively vague.
Other reasons to keep it vague are that every class is different and thus requires a different set of tools and fixes. Whole forums are dedicated to finding the optimum class rolls and builds. There is no way I could do each one justice.
And of course learning all the ins and outs of the character and their roll in a raid is by far what makes a great player. That is someone that I want on my raid.
Lastly, the game changes so much and so often that this information, no matter how vague, could be obsolete even as you are reading it. That goes for all the online sites as well.
I should also mention that this is certainly not the only way to do things, but it definitely is the only one I am qualified to discuss. =) Another route that people take into hardcoredom is PvP. Much of the core will be the same, just look for PvP specific help when searching online.
There you have it. It’s a lot of information but I hope that it’s useful to those that need a little guidance in finding their inner raider.
Got more great suggestions? Please share!
