I don’t watch AOTS as much as I used to, but I’m glad that I tuned in to watch the 1000th episode.

I have never actually seen the show. We never seem to have gotten the G4 network when we did have cable. I dont ever know what its about. =D

Way back when there was a TV show on Tech TV called “The Screen Savers”. It was a show that provided computer advice in terms of quick hacks, new software reviews, etc. At some point G4 bought out TechTV and they brought along two of the younger/edgier cast members and added a new host while getting rid of the ‘old guard’. The show started to shift to more pop culture references, funny stuff you find on the internet, and general geek culture. It finally got to the point where it had deviated so far from its original format that they ended up renaming it to Attack of the Show. The two cast members of the original show left (One of them, Kevin Rose went on to found Digg) and the new guy (seen on drums) was given a new co-host Olivia Munn (the girl in the video). It is now basically a talkshow for geeks.

Lame that geek tv has been reduced to a gimmick. I guess there weren’t enough people that would appreciate genuine geekyness to continue in that vein.
