World of Warcraft has lived up to its name and turned the world of PC gaming into a world of WoW. The most successful MMORPG (massively multiplayer role-playing game) to date, boasting over 11 million subscribers (that’s more then the entire population of Switzerland!) and its showing no signs of slowing down as it nears its five year anniversary.

I’m sure everyone under the sun (or should I say hiding from the sun) has seen this already, but I just couldn’t refrain from posting it. Simply because its AWESOME!
It turned out to be an add campaign for season three of The Guild. As far as advertisement goes, I found this music video to be not only effective but also extremely enjoyable. =)
(Its not that often that I actually enjoy an advertising campaign. In general I find most advertisements to be more of an unwelcome intrusion.)
Besides Felicia Day wrote the lyrics (and sings) and they are hilarious, especially if you have ever played on an MMO.

One of the reasons I havn’t been posting as much is because I have been playing World of Warcraft ALL the time. In fact its cutting into my sleep time. (I know I have a problem!)
Besides taking up extra sleep time, it also eating up all my game time (another reason I haven’t been posting reviews). WoW and other MMORPG are really the scourge that killed the PC market. Why buy other games, or play them for that matter, when you spend all your free time on MMORPG. They are built as huge time sinks.

Since my last top five list revealed the serious lack of quality in game to movie adaptations, I thought I would follow up with some great online material.
While there are a ton of game related videos out on the web, it has been challenging to find the ones of higher quality. All of these were given to me via web word of mouth, aka group emails.
Be warned, some of these are not kid or workplace friendly.

I have been called out! Challenged!! My World of Warcraft mettle questioned!
The task? Get my level 44 Warlock to reach level 80, by December.
The reward? $20, plus all mounts in between paid for.
I have been talking about leveling my warlock forever. Currently I play a hunter and though I love the class I find that there is an overabundance of hunters. Plus their utility in groups is rather limited. So I dream of having a warlock to take on raids and be useful.
December shouldn’t be too hard to manage. My goal (totally unlikely) is to get 50 this weekend, and possibly 60 by the next. Getting from 70-80 is going to be the slow part. At least this will give my hunter a chance to get all the dungeon achievements for old world, as I will just have my hunter run all the dungeons for my little warlock. Powerlevel for the win!

..Time!
With all the holidays and new games coming out, with World of Warcraft expansion and Warhammer Online, with Thanksgiving and New Years, this is a very busy season. I don’t know how people manage to fit everything in.

The people over at http://www.thewarhammerguide.com sent over a review of the new Warhammer Online game as a promotion for their site.
Guest reviews are always encouraged around here, =) especially since I will most likely not play this game much. Two reasons: it’s mostly PvP and it’s almost exactly like WoW.
The husband did bring home a copy for me yesterday. He installed it and we watched the cinematic (which was awesome!!). After watching him futz around a bit I told him that maybe I would try it after all.
So without further ado, here is our very first guest review/PR pitch. =)

*Warhammer Online Review*
It’s been a long time since a new MMO hit the market that actually had the entire industry buzzing, but Warhammer Online is about to do just that – of course buzz doesn’t necessarily get you anywhere if you don’t have a solid product. So, what is the final word on Age of Reckoning – is it the WoW killer everyone has been dreaming of, or is it another just another Age of Conan – a whole bunch of promise with nothing to back it up?
